The Appraisers Association of America presents the third installment of the 2013-2014 Fireman’s Fund Lecture Series, with Robert Kashey at the National Arts Club on Monday, February 3, 2014. During this session, Mr. Kashey will present Shepherd Gallery Sculpture Tour, the film his gallery created in conjunction with its 2012 exhibition and publication, Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century European Sculpture. As with the exhibition and its accompanying publication, this film explores the materials, casting techniques, founders and editors involved in the making of sculpture in Europe from 1800 to 1920 and will help viewers identify the complexities involved in the appreciation and valuation of sculpture from this period. After the film, Mr. Kashey will lead a discussion and Q&A session. He will also be selling copies of Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Century European Sculpture: A Handbook.
Kindly RSVP for this lecture in advance. No payments will be accepted at the door; all reservations must be made prior to the lecture (no later than Wednesday, January 29th).
