The Appraisers Association of America is proud to announce the April installment of the annual Freeman’s Lecture Series, “Tribal Arts: Masterpieces and Marketplace”,  presented by Virginia-Lee Webb, Ph.D.,  AAA. The evening’s lecture, “Tribal Arts: Masterpieces and Marketplace”, will provide an overview of the definition of the term “tribal”, as well as the various regions of interest in the tribal arts market. The discussion will focus on the primary museum collections and how many activities influence the commercial markets. Dr. Webb will also discuss the venues, fairs and sales events that take place annually, thus providing a snapshot of this international art market with many diverse art styles and types of collections.
