USPAP Los Angeles (7-Hour Update Course):
March 17, 2014; 9:30am to 5:30pm


This class is taught by Certified USPAP Instructor Karen McManus, AAA (appraiser of modern, post-war and contemporary fine art with Jacqueline Silverman & Associates, Inc. in Los Angeles and Instructor at the NYU-SCPS Appraisal Studies Program). This is the 7-Hour Update version of the USPAP Course; it is discussion-based with no examination. The course will take place on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Los Angeles at Jacqueline Silverman & Associates, 619 North Almont Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90069. The course begins at 9:30am and ends at 5:30pm.

All members of Appraisers Association of America are required to be current with USPAP; all members are required to take the 15-hour USPAP; and all applicants are required to take the 15-hour USPAP as part of admissions process prior to being admitted as a member. Once a member has taken the 15-hour USPAP within the past two years, he/she may take the 7-Hour Update Course. For more specifics, please see the registration form or call 212.889.5404 x 11. 

Please Note: You are only eligible to take this 7-hour USPAP course if you have taken either the 7-hour or 15-hour USPAP in 2012 or later. If the most recent time you took USPAP is prior to January 2012, you will need to take the 15-hour course and exam (and are NOT eligible to take the 7-hour Update Course). The instructor will teach the March 17th USPAP course using the 2014-2015 USPAP guidelines and book.

IMPORTANT: As of January 1, 2014, changes or cancellations to your registration must be made at least 5 business days prior to the start of your course in writing (via fax or email). If you do NOT notify us at least 5 business days before your course, you will be charged a $50 administration fee.
