USPAP is the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and provides the generally accepted standards of the valuation profession in the United States.
Connoisseurship programs include comprehensive seminars, lectures and trips covering a wide range of different specializations within the fine and decorative arts. Taught by experts in their field and with a focus on valuation and the marketplace, these programs are enlightening for appraisers, educators, students, collectors and art world professionals.
Methodology courses concentrate on the foundational aspects of the appraisal field and related professions of the fine and decorative arts. This includes topics relevant to writing and executing successful appraisals, understanding the complex relationships that appraisers have to other professionals, and bolstering best practices in the appraisal industry.
Our Annual National Conference and Art Law Day provide essential educational opportunities for members, friends and colleagues to learn about new developments and relevant issues in appraising and related fields as well as network with other appraisers and professionals.
These courses are solely for candidates – appraisers pursuing membership. Please contact Ana-Alicia Siqueiros, Membership Manager, for further information.
In an ongoing effort to provide education to our broad regional, national and international audience, we are now offering recordings of many of our programs. Please check back on a regular basis, as we frequently add recorded programs to our website!
