pacific nwThis lecture with Kimberly Hereford, PhD will focus on the school of Pacific Northwest Art. The emergence of artists like Jacob Lawrence and Alden Mason has brought attention to both these individuals and Pacific Northwest art as a whole. This discussion will explore the emerging market for Pacific Northwest art, highlighting notable past sales and addressing some of the challenges associated with appraising these artists.

Hereford KimberlyKimberly Hereford PhD is an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America, specializing in Postwar, Contemporary, and Emerging Art.  She received her MA from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. in American and European art from the University of Washington.  Based in Seattle, Kimberly is a trained art historian with over 20 years of experience working with  private art collections of all sizes, museums, and galleries.
