An Indelible Mark: Women of the Arts and Crafts Movement
This panel was originally held at our National Conference on November 7th, 2024.
Over the last several years museums have emphasized diversity, equity, and inclusion in their collecting policies and exhibitions, highlighting the important contributions women have made to the cannon of 20th century fine art and design. The panel will survey the well-known and unsung women artists and designers whose influence on ceramics, glass, metalwork and jewelry during the American Arts and Crafts Period is indisputable. An examination of market trends, collector demographics, and the differences between the primary/gallery vs secondary/auction market will be discussed.
