A Look Inside the Market: Illustration Art

Join Christine von der Linn, Specialist, Art Books & Original
Illustration, and Arielle Bremby, Junior Specialist, Illustration Art
for light refreshments and discussion of Swann Galleries' exhibition.

Swann founded its Illustration Art department in 2013 and holds
two annual sales in the category. Christine and Arielle will discuss
the trajectory of the department, and cover challenges and particulars
in evaluating illustration art, using examples from the sale.

This year's sale boasts a Norman Rockwell and examples from children's
literature, including an original color drawing by H.A. Rey showing Curious
George's debut, and Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The sale also features Ludwig Bemelmans, and a selection of
comics, cartoons, fashion and more.
