Join AAA President Nancy Harrison for an exclusive VIP Study Trip of Marfa, Texas, the home of the Chinati Foundation, a contemporary art museum based upon the ideas of its founder, Donald Judd, whose intention it was to preserve and present to the public, permanent large-scale installations by a limited number of artists. Also in Marfa is Judd Foundation, founded by the artist to maintain and preserve his permanently-installed living and working spaces, libraries and archives, in Marfa as well as New York City. The itinerary featured on this specially-designed tour includes visits to the foundations, as well as to local galleries, bookstores, and cultural spaces, plus plenty of time to wind down and enjoy the local fare.
