German Post War art has seen a large market
increase in the USA. Apart from appearing in
auction sales and art fairs, US based Galleries
are representing German artists and building
international recognition. This program will begin
at The Appraisers Association office with a lecture
presented by Sabine Wilson, Ph.D., AAA. The lecture

will discuss important work groups and market prices
for German Artists such as Gruppe Zero, Gerhard Richter,
Anselm Kiefer, Georg Baselitz, Siegmar Polke,
Dieter Roth, Neo Rauch, Rosemarie Trockel, Isa Genzken,
Thomas Schütte, Günther Förg, and Cosima von Bonin

Following the lecture, the program will continue at 
The Met Breuer with an hour-long guided tour of
"Gerhard Richter: Painting After All".
This will
be the first major exhibition in the United
States on
the work of Gerhard Richter in nearly twenty years. 

The exhibition includes over 100 works, encompassing
paintings, glass sculptures, prints, and photographs.

Sabine Wilson, Ph.D., AAA received her doctorate degree in art history from the Ludwig–Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany. Since 2000, Sabine has had an independent fine art appraisal and advisory practice in New York where she advises clients on issues concerning valuation, provenance, and collecting of impressionist, modern, and contemporary art. She gives lectures and publishes on art forgery, German art between the wars, and French 18th century art. Ms. Wilson is a Certified Member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Appraisers Association. She is also a Board-Certified Instructor of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and an Adjunct Instructor at New York University's School of Professional Studies.
