A Look Inside the Market: Illustration Art Join Christine von der Linn, Specialist, Art Books & Original  Illustration, and Arielle Bremby, Junior Specialist, Illustration Art for light refreshments and discussion of Swann Galleries' exhibition. Swann founded its Illustration Art department in 2013 and holds two annual sales in the category. Christine and Arielle will discuss the trajectory of the department, and cover challenges and particulars in evaluating illustration art, using examples from the sale. This year's sale boasts a Norman Rockwell and examples from children's literature, including an original color drawing by H.A. Rey showing Curious George's debut, and Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The sale also features Ludwig Bemelmans, and a selection of comics, cartoons, fashion and more.
