The 2022/23 CASP Graduates

CASP

The Appraisal Institute of America is proud to announce the graduation of the Fall 2022/Spring 2023 class on their completion of the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program (CASP). The 27 graduating students came from across the United States, Colombia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines and received a certificate in Appraisal Studies.

CASP classes were held online throughout the fall and spring and included two exciting in-person weekends in New York City, one in October 2022 and one in March 2023. During the in-person weekends, students were taken on various field trips that included a conservation studio, visits to museums, and an art fair. All instruction was provided by Certified Members of the Appraisers Association of America and qualified professionals in related fields.

CASP trains students interested in becoming appraisers of the Fine and Decorative Arts and General Household Contents meeting the qualifications of The Appraisal Foundation. This program has been designed to help meet the growing demand for appraisers in the $67.8 billion global art market. Since the launch of CASP in July 2016, 319 students have completed the program and gone on to become independent appraisers, join appraisal companies, or have started their own companies.

The Appraisal Institute of America is the educational foundation of the Appraisers Association of America. Its mission is to present, advance and promote educational programs and access to information pertaining to appraisals for the general public and for new and established appraisers.
