Appraiser's Statement

Henry Wessells has been active in the buying, selling, and appraising of antiquarian books, manuscripts, and archives for 25 years. He provides a full range of appraisal services for collectors, estates, and institutions, and prepares Charitable Donation, Fair Market Value, Institutional Loan, Insurance, and Estate Tax appraisals. He was educated at Princeton (BA, Arabic and Near Eastern Studies) and Columbia University (MFA, Writing). He is a member of the Grolier Club and the Association internationale de bibliophilie (AIB), and is author of A Conversation larger than the Universe (2018) and The Private Life of Books (2014).
