Appraiser's Statement

Lindsay has a MA from Columbia University, a BA from University of Texas, and a Certificate in Appraisal Studies from New York University. She works with collectors, institutions, and fiduciaries to buy, sell, and appraise valuable estates/collections. Many of her appraisals have gone before the IRS Art Panel, all approved and accepted on first pass. Lindsay has worked with auction houses, formerly the Director of Regions for Bonhams in Texas, and she has worked with secondary market art galleries in NYC and Texas in American Art, Photographs, and Contemporary Art.

Davis Cohen Art has extensive experience assessing collections, appraising estates, and has managed large-scale corporate and healthcare collections throughout Texas, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and Houston Methodist.

Lindsay is a longstanding docent at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens (American decorative art, furniture, and art). She sits on an Advisory Council at University of Texas at Austin, and is on the boards of Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation and Houston Center for Photography.
