Appraiser's Statement

Patrick is an art appraiser with special knowledge and experience in Chinese and Asian fine and decorative arts and antiques. He is USPAP compliant and has maintained a private art advisory business since 2007. He also serves as the Asian specialist for companies such as Winston Art Group, The Fine Art Group (formally Pall Mall Art Advisors), Gurr Johns, and various auction houses. He has over 20 years of experience in the art world holding positions such as an appraiser, auction specialist, gallerist, collections advisor, and art business consultant. He has also given lectures on the art market, valuation, and issues of authenticity, and worked as a university instructor at various institutions including NYU and Sotheby’s Institute. He has received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from Marywood University and worked in the Chinese Studies program at the University of Michigan. Patrick has lived and worked in China where he received a Chinese Language certificate from Beijing Normal University’s College of Chinese Language and Culture.
