Join us at Canessa Gallery as Annie Segan, Ph. D., daughter  of Arthur Rothstein and director of the Arthur Rothstein Legacy Project gives a presentation on her father’s life and legacy and discusses the current exhibition, When Government Worked: New Deal Picture Stories by Arthur Rothstein. The presentation will be followed by a panel featuring Ms. Segan, Lindsay Nivens-Frosini and Melanie Light, as moderator. Ms. Nivens-Frosini and Ms. Light are Accredited and Associate members of the Appraisers Association, respectively. This event will be held in partnership with American Photography Archives Group West and will address topics including: · Rothstein’s market; understanding what to look for and the big sale of 2011; · How artists’ estates, such as Rothstein’s, are handled when the heirs do not own the estate; · Keeping the name of a deceased photographer alive with contemporary print sales and exhibitions, and what effect that may have on this particular segment of the market; 2 CE credits FEE: Members & General Admission: $20 Register online (at the top of this page); OR by calling 212.889.5404 x 11 Email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of payment.
