Live Webinar
Tuesday, January 29, 2019
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM EST

This webinar will give you a thorough grounding in using the hundreds of free online
services
at the New York Public Library available with a library card. This concise
training will offer beginner searchers a starting point for wider use and cover a few of
those sources most relevant to appraisers.

Library databases contain articles from magazines, journals and newsletters; book material,
biographical data, some auction and other appraisal tools that are not available through a
simple internet search. This webinar will give you a grounding on the different resources
available and how to access them.

Successfully using these sources requires training. The emphasis of this webinar will be on
learning the common elements of what to look for on a search page of any of these databases
that will make your research time productive and reduce anxiety at using new research tools.
