Join Helen Hall, AAA for a lecture and guided tour of
the ground-breaking exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum,
Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock.

This program will begin at the Appraisers Association offices with
a presentation about the market for Rock and Roll Instruments.
Helen Hall, Certified Appraiser of Entertainment Memorabilia
will discuss the following:

  • What makes an instrument valuable?
  • What factors are important in assessing value?
  • How do we research provenance and authenticity?

Following the lecture, the group will take a trip to the Met, where Helen
will add some personal anecdotes to the background of some
of these iconic instruments on view, including Jimi Hendrix’s “Love Drops”
guitar, Jerry Garcia’s “Wolf”, Eddie Van Halen’s “Frankenstein”
and Keith Moon’s “Pictures of Lilly” drumkit. This is the first time
that all these incredibly important instruments have been
assembled together in one place.
