The Appraisers Association is committed to ongoing education for appraisers and arts professionals and each season organizes a six-part slide lecture series in New York City, given by specialists in the fine and decorative arts and focusing on specific areas in depth. Within the context of the talk, the expert provides historical background, an overview of the field, establishes current values and market trends, addresses problems of copies and forgeries and considers a variety of additional relevant issues. Following the lecture there is a reception providing networking and social opportunities for members of the audience.

This lecture series is supported by Hub International, one of the largest insurance brokers in the world, and represents a broad, deep, one-of-a-kind aggregation of insurance entrepreneurs. Hub’s sponsorship assists us in our delivery of the highest level of connoisseurship that provides a platform for dialog to a wide spectrum of attendees from across the art world.
